Description
Animal.io 3D is a multiplayer online browser game developed by a small independent studio. It belongs to the .io genre, characterized by simple graphics and competitive free-for-all gameplay. The game presents a three-dimensional, low-polygon environment where players control a customizable animal avatar, typically a cat or dog. The primary objective is to grow in size by collecting floating orbs scattered across the map and by defeating other players. Defeating another player causes them to drop a portion of their collected mass, which can be absorbed. The game features a leaderboard that displays the largest players in the current session. There is no single-player mode; all gameplay occurs in persistent online servers.
Instructions
Gameplay mechanics are based on mass accumulation and territorial control. The player character moves continuously in the direction of the cursor. The left mouse button triggers a short-range dash attack, which, if it connects with a smaller opponent, instantly eliminates them and absorbs their mass. The right mouse button or the spacebar activates a temporary speed boost, which consumes a small amount of the player's mass. The player's size directly correlates with their collected mass; larger players move slower but have a larger collision radius for attacks. Tactical techniques include using the speed boost to evade larger predators, ambushing smaller players from behind obstacles, and conserving mass by not boosting unnecessarily. The dash attack has a cooldown period of approximately three seconds. Strategic positioning near high-density orb spawns is essential for early growth.
