Dash & Boat is a 2023 arcade-style racing game developed by Nautical Pixel Studios for mobile platforms and PC. The game combines high-speed motorboat racing with obstacle navigation across procedurally generated waterways. Players control a single vessel, competing against AI opponents or in time-trial modes. The objective is to complete each course as quickly as possible while avoiding collisions with buoys, rocks, and other boats. Courses feature variable water conditions, including calm lakes, turbulent rivers, and open ocean sections with waves. The game includes a progression system where players unlock faster boats and upgraded parts by earning points from race placements and completing challenges.

Gameplay mechanics center on acceleration, steering, and boost management. The player’s boat has a speed meter and a boost gauge that fills by performing near-miss passes of obstacles or drafting behind opponents. Activating boost consumes gauge charge and provides a temporary speed increase. Collisions reduce speed and deplete boost gauge. Operation controls on mobile use a virtual joystick for steering and a separate button for boost. On PC, the keyboard uses the W key for acceleration, S for brake or reverse, A and D for left and right steering, and the Spacebar for boost. A mouse can also steer by clicking and dragging. Tactical techniques include using boost only on straight sections to maximize efficiency, drafting opponents to fill the boost gauge faster, and cutting corners tightly without hitting obstacles to maintain speed. Players should also anticipate wave patterns in ocean sections to avoid losing control.
