Description
World Conqueror is a turn-based strategy game developed by EasyTech, first released in 2009 for mobile platforms and later ported to PC. The game simulates World War II military campaigns, allowing players to command national armies across historical scenarios. Players select a major power, such as Germany, the Soviet Union, or the United States, and engage in territorial conquest across Europe, North Africa, and the Pacific. The objective is to capture enemy capitals and achieve total domination. The game features a hexagonal grid map, with units representing infantry, armor, artillery, and naval forces. Resource management includes production of units and allocation of funds for upgrades. A tech tree enables research of improved weaponry and defensive structures. The game includes a campaign mode with scripted events and a conquest mode for open-ended play.
Instructions
Gameplay operates on a turn-based system where each turn consists of a player phase and an AI phase. Players move units by clicking a unit and then clicking an adjacent hexagon. Combat is resolved automatically based on unit stats, terrain modifiers, and health points. Operation controls include: left-click to select a unit; right-click to deselect; drag to scroll the map; and keyboard shortcuts (N for next unit, E for end turn). Tactical techniques include using artillery to soften enemy defenses before infantry assault, positioning armor on plains for maximum attack bonuses, and encircling enemy units to prevent retreat. Naval units control sea lanes and provide shore bombardment. Air units, available after research, can bomb enemy cities and units. Players should prioritize capturing cities for income and production, and maintain a balanced force composition. Defensive tactics involve fortifying chokepoints with infantry and using rivers as natural barriers. The game rewards aggressive expansion in early turns to deny enemy resources.
