Description

Zombie Killer is a top-down, single-player survival shooter video game developed by FreezeNova and released in 2018. The game is set in a procedurally generated, fenced-in arena where the player character must eliminate waves of undead enemies. The objective is to survive for as long as possible while accumulating a high score. The visual style is pixelated and minimalist, with a fixed camera perspective. The game is available as a free-to-play browser title and on mobile platforms. No narrative or character development is present; the core loop consists solely of combat and resource management.

Instructions

Gameplay mechanics are based on wave-based survival. The player starts with a pistol and must collect ammunition and health pickups dropped by defeated zombies. Each wave increases in enemy count and speed. The game ends when the player’s health reaches zero. Operation controls differ by platform. On PC, movement is controlled by the W, A, S, D keys. Aiming and firing are performed with the mouse cursor; left-click fires the weapon. The R key reloads the current weapon. The number keys 1 through 4 switch between the pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, and melee weapon, respectively. On mobile, a virtual joystick on the left side of the screen controls movement, while a fire button on the right side shoots in the direction of the player’s facing. A reload button is located near the fire button. Tactical techniques include kiting, where the player moves in a circular pattern to group zombies into a tight cluster before firing. Shotguns are most effective at close range against grouped enemies. The assault rifle is optimal for medium-range engagements. The player should prioritize collecting ammunition over health when health is above 50%, as running out of ammo is a primary cause of failure. Melee weapons are used only as a last resort due to their short range and high risk.
