Description
Zombie Can't Jump is a 2012 tower defense and resource management game developed by 10tons Ltd. The player defends a fortified position against waves of slow-moving zombies that cannot jump over obstacles. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic urban environment, viewed from a top-down perspective. The objective is to survive each wave by strategically placing barricades, traps, and automated turrets to funnel and eliminate zombies. Resources are earned by killing zombies and collecting dropped coins, which are used to purchase and upgrade defensive structures. The game features multiple levels with increasing difficulty, including special zombie types such as spitters and tanks. A persistent upgrade system allows the player to improve weapons and defenses between missions.
Instructions
Gameplay mechanics operate on a wave-based survival loop. The player controls a single human character who can move freely within the play area. Movement is controlled via the keyboard: W, A, S, D keys for directional movement. The mouse is used for aiming and firing the player's equipped weapon; left-click fires, right-click activates a secondary ability or weapon. Defensive structures are placed by pressing number keys 1 through 4 to select a structure type, then left-clicking on a valid ground tile. Barricades block zombie paths; traps damage zombies on contact; turrets automatically fire at nearby zombies. The player must collect coins by walking over them. Tactical techniques include creating narrow corridors with barricades to concentrate zombie traffic, placing traps at chokepoints for maximum damage, and prioritizing upgrades to turret range and damage. The player should avoid direct combat with large groups, instead kiting zombies into prepared kill zones. Resource management is critical: spending coins on barricades early in a wave reduces later pressure, while saving for high-cost turrets is advisable between waves.
