Description

Guns Zombie is a fixed-screen shooter video game developed by Voxel Studio and released in 2012 for iOS and Android platforms. The game presents a post-apocalyptic scenario where the player character, a lone survivor, defends a fortified position against waves of undead enemies. The visual style employs a cel-shaded, comic-book aesthetic with a dark color palette. The objective is to survive as long as possible by eliminating zombies that approach from multiple directions. The game features a scoring system based on kills, headshots, and survival time. It includes a variety of unlockable weapons and power-ups, such as shotguns, assault rifles, and grenades. The game is divided into levels, each with increasing difficulty and zombie density. A boss zombie appears at the end of certain stages.

Instructions

Gameplay operates on a single-screen arena. The player character is stationary at the center. Controls utilize a virtual joystick for aiming and a fire button for shooting. On touchscreen devices, the player drags a finger on the left side of the screen to rotate the character’s aim direction. Tapping the right side of the screen fires the equipped weapon. Automatic weapons fire continuously while the fire button is held. Reloading is performed by tapping a dedicated reload icon. Weapon switching is done via a weapon wheel or icon bar at the bottom of the screen. Tactical techniques include prioritizing headshots, which deal double damage and grant bonus points. Players should conserve ammunition by using single-shot weapons for isolated zombies and automatic weapons for crowds. Grenades are effective against large groups or boss enemies. Movement is limited to rotating; the player cannot reposition. Environmental hazards, such as explosive barrels, can be shot to clear multiple zombies. The game pauses automatically when the player lifts their finger from the screen, allowing for strategic planning.
