The Day of Zombies

The Day of Zombies is a cooperative first-person survival shooter developed by Vostok Games and released in 2023. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic urban environment overrun by a viral outbreak that reanimates human corpses. Players assume the role of civilian survivors tasked with securing resources, completing objectives, and escaping the quarantine zone. The single-player campaign follows a linear narrative across five chapters, while a separate multiplayer mode supports up to four players in cooperative missions. The game uses a realistic damage system where headshots are instantly fatal to standard zombies, while special infected variants require sustained fire or environmental hazards to neutralize. The visual design emphasizes dim lighting, claustrophobic interiors, and limited ammunition to reinforce tension.

Gameplay mechanics center on resource management and tactical positioning. Players must scavenge for weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and crafting materials.
