The game supports up to four players in online sessions. The setting is a procedurally generated urban environment overrun by a viral zombie outbreak. Players assume the roles of civilian survivors with distinct skill sets, such as medic, engineer, or scout. The primary objective is to locate resources, secure a safe zone, and extract via a rescue vehicle within a 30-minute time limit. The game features a dynamic day-night cycle and a weather system that affects zombie behavior, with increased aggression during night and rain. Permadeath is enabled; a player character death results in permanent loss of that character’s inventory and progress for the session.

Gameplay mechanics center on resource management, stealth, and cooperative combat. Players scavenge for food, ammunition, medical supplies, and crafting components. Crafting allows creation of barricades, explosives, and healing items. Zombies are attracted to noise, including gunfire and sprinting. The game uses a stamina system; sprinting depletes stamina, reducing combat effectiveness.
