Description
Hit Lazer To Goals is a single-player or two-player competitive arcade game developed by independent studio LazerByte Games, released in 2023 for PC and mobile platforms. The game presents a top-down, minimalist arena where players control a small, triangular ship that emits a continuous, directional laser beam. The primary objective is to redirect this laser beam off reflective walls and obstacles to strike a series of stationary goal nodes positioned around the arena. Each level contains a set number of goals, and the player must hit all goals within a limited number of laser activations or within a time limit, depending on the game mode. The laser beam persists until it hits a non-reflective surface or a goal, at which point it deactivates. The game features a physics-based reflection system where the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection, requiring precise positioning and aiming. Obstacles include movable blocks, one-way mirrors, and energy-draining fields that shorten the laser’s range. The game includes a campaign mode with 60 levels, a sandbox mode for custom puzzle creation, and a versus mode where two players compete to hit goals on a shared arena.
Instructions
Gameplay mechanics revolve around the continuous laser beam emitted from the player’s ship. The ship can rotate 360 degrees, and the laser fires automatically when the ship is stationary and aimed. The laser stops only upon contact with a goal, a non-reflective wall, or an energy-draining field. Each goal hit deactivates that node permanently for the current attempt. The player must plan a single laser path that ricochets off multiple reflective surfaces to hit all goals in sequence, as the laser cannot be turned off mid-path. Operation controls on PC use the mouse for aiming and left-click to lock the ship’s position and fire the laser. The keyboard’s W, A, S, D keys move the ship within the arena, and the spacebar resets the level. On mobile, a virtual joystick controls movement, and a tap-and-drag gesture aims and fires. Tactical techniques include positioning the ship at a corner to maximize reflection angles, using movable blocks to create temporary reflective paths, and timing laser activation to avoid energy-draining fields. Players often employ the “bounce chain” method, where the laser is aimed to hit a far wall first, then ricochet to a series of closely spaced goals. In versus mode, players can block an opponent’s laser by placing non-reflective barriers, requiring adaptive aiming.
