Survive the Zombies

Survive the Zombies is a single-player or cooperative top-down survival shooter video game. The player controls a character trapped in a procedurally generated urban environment overrun by a zombie outbreak. The primary objective is to survive for as long as possible while eliminating waves of undead enemies. Resources such as ammunition, health packs, and weapon upgrades are scarce and found by searching buildings and defeating special infected enemies. The game features a day-night cycle; nighttime reduces visibility and increases zombie aggression. A scoring system tracks the number of kills, time survived, and resources collected. The game ends when the player’s health reaches zero.

Gameplay mechanics are based on real-time combat and resource management. The player character moves using the W, A, S, and D keys. The mouse controls aiming and firing; left-click fires the equipped weapon, and right-click performs a melee attack. The scroll wheel cycles through inventory items. The number keys 1 through 4 select specific weapon slots. The spacebar triggers a short-duration sprint, which depletes a stamina bar. The E key interacts with doors, containers, and items. The R key reloads the current weapon. The Q key drops the current item. The Tab key opens the inventory screen, allowing weapon and item management. Tactical techniques include luring zombies into narrow corridors to limit their approach vectors, conserving ammunition by using melee attacks on single zombies, and prioritizing the elimination of special infected that explode or spit acid. Players should always maintain a clear escape route and avoid engaging large groups without a shotgun or explosive weapon.
