Hero Merge

Hero Merge is a mobile puzzle-strategy game developed by SayGames. The game combines tile-matching mechanics with incremental progression. Players merge identical hero units on a grid to create higher-tier heroes, which then automatically attack enemy waves. The objective is to survive increasingly difficult battles by strengthening the player’s army through merging and strategic placement. The game features a fantasy theme with cartoonish visuals and a linear campaign of levels.

Gameplay mechanics center on a 4x4 or 5x5 grid where hero tiles appear. Players drag one tile onto an identical tile to merge them, producing a single, more powerful hero of the next tier. Merged heroes automatically engage enemies approaching from the right side of the screen. Operation controls are touch-based: tap and hold a tile to drag it, then release over a matching tile to complete the merge. Tiles cannot be rotated or swapped; only merging is permitted. Tactical techniques include prioritizing merges near the enemy path to maximize attack uptime, avoiding merging high-tier heroes prematurely if lower-tier units are needed to block enemy advances, and using the “auto-merge” button (when available) to combine all possible matches instantly. Players should also manage grid space by merging quickly, as the grid fills with new tiles after each enemy wave. Strategic use of hero abilities, unlocked at certain tiers, can turn the tide by providing area damage or healing.
