Description

Endless Car Chase is a vehicular pursuit simulation game developed by PixelForge Studios and released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game places the player in the role of a law enforcement driver tasked with pursuing a single, continuously fleeing suspect vehicle across an infinite, procedurally generated urban environment. The primary objective is to maintain visual contact with the target for as long as possible while avoiding collisions with civilian traffic, environmental obstacles, and structural barriers. The chase ends when the player’s vehicle sustains critical damage, loses sight of the target for a set duration, or fails to navigate a mandatory turn. The game features a dynamic difficulty system that increases the suspect’s speed and evasive behavior based on the player’s pursuit duration. No narrative campaign exists; the experience is purely score-based, with points awarded for proximity to the target, successful pit maneuvers, and time elapsed.

Instructions

Gameplay mechanics center on three core systems: pursuit stability, traffic avoidance, and tactical intervention. The player must keep the suspect vehicle within a forward-facing cone of vision, represented by a on-screen indicator. Losing the target for more than five seconds triggers a fail state. The suspect’s AI employs random lane changes, sudden braking, and sharp turns into alleyways. The player’s vehicle has a durability meter that depletes upon collision with any object; total depletion ends the chase. Points accumulate at a rate proportional to the distance between the player and the suspect, with a multiplier for consecutive seconds of close proximity.

Operation controls are standardized across platforms. On keyboard and mouse, the W key accelerates, S brakes or reverses, A steers left, and D steers right. The spacebar activates a temporary speed boost, which drains a rechargeable boost gauge. The left mouse button initiates a pit maneuver when the player’s front quarter panel is aligned with the suspect’s rear quarter panel. The right mouse button triggers a siren, which causes civilian vehicles to slow and pull to the side, reducing obstacle density. On controller, the left stick steers, the right trigger accelerates, the left trigger brakes, the A button activates the boost, the X button performs a pit maneuver, and the Y button activates the siren.

Tactical techniques include using the siren before entering intersections to clear a path, conserving boost for straightaways where the suspect accelerates, and executing pit maneuvers only when the suspect is in a wide lane to avoid collision with barriers. The player should maintain a distance of two to three car lengths to react to sudden braking. Drifting around corners is achieved by tapping the brake while steering, which preserves momentum without losing visual contact. The optimal strategy for high scores involves alternating between close pursuit for multiplier gain and brief retreats to allow the boost gauge to recharge.
