Gameplay mechanics center on momentum-based movement and precise steering. The duck accelerates automatically when moving downhill or through current zones. The A button or Spacebar executes a jump, used to clear obstacles or reach elevated star paths. The B button or Shift key activates a short burst of speed, limited by a rechargeable boost meter. Tactical techniques: Drifting is performed by holding the steering input in one direction while tapping the brake (S key or down arrow) for a half-second, allowing tighter turns without losing speed. Optimal pathing involves staying in the center of the slide to avoid wall friction, which reduces velocity. Boost should be reserved for straight sections or immediately after landing from a jump to maximize acceleration. Collecting three stars in a row within two seconds triggers a temporary speed multiplier.
