Cat Girl Skater

Cat Girl Skater is a 2023 indie arcade-style skateboarding game developed by PixelTail Studios. The player controls a cat-eared anthropomorphic character navigating a series of urban environments. The objective is to perform skateboard tricks, collect scattered fish icons, and reach the end of each level within a time limit. The game features a cel-shaded art style and a chiptune soundtrack. Levels increase in complexity, introducing ramps, rails, and moving obstacles. The game is available on Windows, macOS, and Nintendo Switch.

Gameplay is divided into timed runs across linear stages. The player character automatically moves forward. Operation controls: Left Stick or D-Pad steers left and right. A button performs a basic ollie. B button executes a kickflip. X button initiates a grind on rails or ledges. Y button activates a special trick, consuming one of three stored energy charges. Holding the A button while in the air performs a manual. Timing the A button press upon landing from a trick grants a speed boost. Tactical techniques: chaining a kickflip into a grind increases score multiplier. Collecting five fish icons in a row without falling refills one energy charge. Using a special trick just before a ramp launch extends airtime. Avoiding obstacles by steering, not jumping, preserves momentum. The game ends when the timer reaches zero or the player falls off the course.
