Bowmastery - Zombies!

Bowmastery - Zombies! is a tower defense and archery hybrid video game developed by a small independent studio. The player assumes the role of a bow-wielding defender tasked with eliminating waves of undead enemies approaching a central structure. The game is presented from a fixed first-person perspective, with the player aiming and firing arrows from a fortified position. Environments are typically dark, post-apocalyptic settings with limited visibility. The primary objective is to survive successive rounds by preventing zombies from breaching the player's location. The game features a progression system where successful eliminations grant currency used to purchase new bow types, arrow upgrades, and special abilities.

Gameplay operates on a wave-based survival loop. Each round introduces a set number of zombies that approach from a fixed direction. The player must aim the bow using mouse movement, with the crosshair representing the trajectory. Left-clicking fires an arrow. Holding the left mouse button charges the shot, increasing arrow velocity and damage. The right mouse button activates a zoom function for precision aiming. The keyboard controls movement: W and S adjust vertical aim, while A and D adjust horizontal aim. The spacebar triggers a slow-motion effect for a limited duration, allowing precise targeting. The number keys 1 through 4 switch between equipped arrow types: standard, explosive, poison, and piercing. The E key activates a special ability, such as a temporary shield or a volley of arrows, on a cooldown timer. Tactical techniques include prioritizing fast-moving zombies first, using explosive arrows on grouped enemies, and reserving the slow-motion ability for boss zombies that appear every fifth wave. Arrow upgrades purchased between rounds increase damage, fire rate, or add elemental effects. The player must manage ammunition, as each arrow type has a finite supply that replenishes only between waves.
