Description
Army Playground 3D is a physics-based sandbox strategy game developed by Playtouch. The game places the player in command of two opposing toy soldier armies on a three-dimensional terrain. The primary objective is to eliminate the enemy force by strategically deploying units and utilizing environmental objects. The game features a top-down perspective with adjustable camera angles. Players select from a roster of soldier types, including riflemen, grenadiers, and snipers, each with distinct movement speeds and attack patterns. The battlefield contains interactive elements such as explosive barrels, crates, and elevated platforms that affect unit positioning and combat outcomes. Victory is achieved when all enemy units are destroyed or the opposing base is captured.
Instructions
Gameplay operates on a turn-based or real-time deployment system depending on the selected mode. In standard mode, players receive a limited number of action points per turn to spawn units or activate objects. Controls are touch-based for mobile devices and mouse-and-keyboard for PC. On mobile, tapping a unit icon on the bottom bar selects it, then tapping a valid location on the field deploys it. Dragging the screen rotates the camera; pinching adjusts zoom. On PC, number keys (1-4) select unit types, left-click places units, and right-click drags the view. The scroll wheel controls zoom.
Tactical techniques include using snipers on elevated terrain for long-range suppression, deploying grenadiers behind cover to flush out entrenched enemies, and positioning riflemen in staggered lines to create overlapping fields of fire. Explosive barrels should be detonated by shooting them when enemies cluster nearby. Players should conserve action points for late-game reinforcements rather than deploying all units immediately. Flanking maneuvers using faster units to attack from the rear are effective against stationary defenses.
